iGale 3000 Host System
iGale is an International gaming and lottery company that operates in a number of countries and designs, develops and installs a range of class leading gaming and lottery solutions. Cascadia was asked by iGale to develop the host system for its new iGale 3000 gaming system.
The system is based around a transactional SQL database that is used to store all gaming transactions, provide prize management, agency configuration, and centralised reporting.
Communications with the Central Host system utilises TCP/IP, with both Internet access and direct dial access. Data is both encrypted and sequenced for security and audit ability, thus ensuring transactions cannot be lost, corrupted, or interfered with.
The selling terminals run a custom designed, Java based, software suite that controls all functions. The terminals are made up of touch screen, printer, card reader and bar code reader.
The igale Host System developed by Cascadia provides all system wide configuration, operations, and reporting functions. It is based on Internet web server technology, using secure https (SSL) communications, and uses a dual redundant High Availability (HA) cluster architecture. Having the host system based on these technologies means that a very flexible, accessible, and reliable system design is achieved.
